7:14pm: Things I'm Loving...
So, whereas I am still happily settled in SPN (and now have 27k of my Big Bang), and I'm still flirting at the edges of HP, there have been a couple of things recently that have inspired a sort of fannish glee in me.

1. Ashes to Ashes. My God, I want to write filthy filthy pwps with Gene and Alex all day long. I know the show keeps getting compared to Life on Mars but, in my opinion, they're two completely different kinds of shows. Ashes to Ashes is much lighter and I like that. So sorry for not being deep enough. And the last episode? With the Gene and Alex moments? I have a canon het otp, my lovelies! Plus, this show uses all the frothy 80's stuff I have a secret passion for.

2. Die Hard 4.0. John/Matt all the way, baby! Honestly, all the touching and John throwing his body over Matt's and being all protective and eeeee! The fangirl in me loved this so much. My editor lent me the DVD and went on and on about Bruce Willis the next day and I just wanted to squee over John/Matt.

3. She's the Man. I should not love this film. I should not even like it. It has soccer and tampon jokes and teenagers overacting really dreadfully. I just have this thing about Shakespeare-inspired films and this... I've always loved Twelfth Night for the Sebastian/Duke Orsino moments and this film, though dreadful and all, just... *happy sigh* I feel braincells dying whenever I watch it but really, I can't help myself.

6:55pm: Over the water, under the sea
My deadline for daily_deviant is fast approaching and I still have not decided what to write. My choices are: Corsets, Bisexuality, Penetration toys, Yoni worship, Dumbledore/Voldemort I don't know. I fail completely at this stuff. If anyone has a preference, please shout out. ETA => Forget it, I think I know what I'm doing now. :)

And we have the makeshift SPN finale tonight. I am still squealing about last week's episode so I don't know how I'm going to cope with tonight's episode. I only have three things to say about last week's episode. Cut because I have included visual aids.

I am fretting about whether or not to do Remix. I absolutely adore Remix but I already have SPN Big Bang to write and am bound to pick up more along the way. Plus, what if I end up having to write HP? My brain gets all snarly like a frightened animal at the prospect. Which may well be why I'm stalling on my Deviance for March. Who's remixing and who ain't?

7:41pm: Facial Hair and a Dog in a Cocktail Dress

I bought my dog a little black Audrey Hepburn style cocktail dress in the New Year's sales. It's basically a little jumper thing for her to wear after she's been trimmed to keep her from shivering but they've made it look ever so pretty and cute! Here, have a picture of her loveliness!

12:30pm: Being a Sophisticated Pervert
Yesterday I went to see Seduced: Art and Sex from Antiquity to Now at the Barbican with emeraldgreen and wildestranger. It was an awful lot of fun but rather shockingly, we were unshocked by it all. No mpreg, limited tentacle porn and too many warnings about homosexual content. Actually, that was the most shocking part: whoever had been in charge of organising this hadn't felt the need to warn for implied bestiality or flying!cock windchimes, but felt that gay s&m might be pushing the boundaries a little. Fandom, I thank you for rendering me entirely nonchalant about the most graphic pornography.

I have to say, I was delighted to actually see some original Schiele and Hans Bellmer. Whereas when looking at prints of his work, I've always wished Bellmer had kept to b&w, actually seeing the originals you get the full impact of his use of colour. It's sickly and washed out and adds a great deal to the overall unsettling nature of his art.

I also particularly liked the last video we watched, which was very naturalistic and featured two couples who were clearly very love with each other. The degree of intimacy in their relationship - I don't mean the sex but the emotion - should have made me feel slightly voyeuristic to be watching but it was so beautiful I felt kind of touched to be allowed in.

During the day, Emerald was a masterful guide and didn't allow me to get lost once! She was very patient with my continual inability to know where the hell we were or where we going. And Wilde made a concerted and very impressive attempt at persuading us both into bandom. I am listening to The Black Parade now. Emerald and Wilde slashed two young men at the tube station and we all discussed bandom AUs, memories of Sectus and just how awesome Dean Winchester is (answer: exceptionally).

In short, day was good. :)

Okay, so, I am writing my piece for daily_deviant and it kind of got me thinking about the epilgoue to Deathly Hallows and the info JKR gave us in the interviews afterwards. I know there is a lot of hate for it but... it also gave us receding hairline!Draco and numerous second-generation ships and Albus/Grindelwald.

So I was wondering if there'd be any interest in an epilogue and beyond specific art/fic exchange. Like, Albus Severus/Scorpius porn and genfic to tell us what the hell Hermione is actually doing with her life and how Hannah and Neville got together.

Am I high on cough medicine or is this something you'd be interested in?

I'm sure it won't surprise any of you if I mention that Supernatural is now my main fandom. SPN is the zombie virus indeed. There's been wank in SPN fandom recently - very silly wank which I won't even dignify by giving my thoughts on it. And also, I have seen more than one person on my f'list wondering what is so brilliant about SPN that people keep succumbing to its charms.

So, this post is about me telling you why I love Supernatural and why wank is totally unnecessary.

Hey, people, I am catching up on things, really I am! But today I bought shoes - because greenspine told me I could - and that always makes me super-exuberant for the rest of the day! I have emails and comments to answer but I also have people I need to prod so I will leave you with my new favourite picture of Jensen and Jared. This is why Jared keeps breaking bones.

I am, as my grandmother used to say, full of complaints that few people die of. At the weekend, I suffered from some food poisoning. I was just coming through that when somehow I got an eye infection and now my eye is swollen shut. Seriously, my mum needs to talk to God about the returns policy because I am faulty goods. So, I'm around but only sporadically, depending on how wide I can open my eye.

I've been meaning to post this for months probably but now it is time because I wish you all to suffer with me. This video is The Greatest Thing in the World. The singer - I use the term loosely - is clearly deranged. Time has not been kind to it. High fashion in the late eighties looks bloody ugly twenty years on. Tanned men with mullets, wearing nothing but white g-strings and trainers, thrusting their ill-concealed cocks at badly dressed women - completely out of time to the beat of the music, might I add - will never stop being amusing to me. 6:11pm: nothing in my dream that isn't creepy crawling
I've been grouchy and miserable the last few days. Apologies to anyone who's had to deal with me during that time. And I've been neglecting you, poor f'list. Though as I've been fairly unbearable, you've probably had a lucky escape.

I'm behind in everything again and there are some things that desperately need to be dealt with. There are things I need to clarify before I go insane. And there is fic that needs to be written, always with the fic that needs to be written. Sam and Dean = love, always.

I do actually have an excuse though for my tardiness and temper. Those poor souls who have taken the brunt of my nastiness will know I've been bitten badly by this horrid bug thing, known around this part of the country as the Blandford Fly. So my leg swelled up and then I thought I was coming down with something but it turns out I'm having an allergic reaction to the bites. So I feel all flu-ey and aching. And the stuff the doctor's given me makes it difficult for me to stay awake. Oh what joy is flesh's life right now.

I do not have the time to play fandom politics and I do not have the stomach to read endless threads of nauseatingly bad cybersex.
